The kind of things you'd be doing:

The Quality Assurance Technician we are looking for is a full member of the development team who will consider their project to be the creation, maintenance and management of the automation regression test suite and unit tests.

  • Optimize, test and develop current applications and web tools
  • Building and managing the automated regression and smoke test suites for our platform
  • Advising and mentoring development team on how to take a quality focused approach to design
  • Pairing with developers to work on supporting a TDD mentality while the code is being written
  • Providing support and feedback from both a testing and development perspective in the development of a variety of applications including websites, databases and mobile applications with a strong focus in quality assurance

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with internal and external clients

Ideal qualifications*:

  • Clever, creative and the willingness to emote with our users and champion their opinions
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, Nightwatch, Karma, MiniTest, Capybara is a must
  • Experience with development languages such as CoffeeScript or Javascript is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies such as Smoke, Regression and Sanity tests
  • Experience with Agile Development methodologies and Agile Testing methodologies
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university in computer science, engineering or information systems
  • Experience with the full software development life cycle, including design, testing, deployment and documentation activities
  • Must thrive and work well under pressure, excel with tight deadlines, and have excellent attention to detail
